Fabrice Rosset became the Managing Director of Delas Frères in 1996. A humanist and a man of good judgment, he quickly saw the huge potential of this firm. In May 1997 he met Jacques Grange, a young oenologist who had trained in Burgundy before working for some of the great names in the Rhône Valley. This meeting was to profoundly change the future of Delas Frères and cause a veritable renaissance. The two set up a highly motivated team, comprised of Vincent Girardini, the vineyard manager, and Jean-François Farinet, a qualified oenologist and assistant technical director.
An intelligent policy of contract partnerships was to guarantee the very best supply of grapes and close links with the growers. A good example is that of Maurice Bruyère, the son-in-law of Michel Delas, who treats his vineyards like a garden and brings in all his grapes from plots in Condrieu and Côte Rôtie la Landonne.
